We just launched this literary journal in October, and in the past two months we’ve been honored to interview a number of authors and review plenty of great new books. As we look ahead to 2015 we’ve got more ideas than we know what to do with, but that’s not a bad problem to have. If you’ve enjoyed Fourth & Sycamore thus far, rest assured this site will continue to get better and better.
Scheduling reviews, interviews, and book recommendation lists can be a complicated process even for this
anal retentive highly organized editor, as you can see below in this page from my brainstorming notebook.
2015 promises to be an exciting year for Greenville Public Library and for Fourth & Sycamore. We can’t wait to get started on some of the fun (and just a wee bit daunting) new projects we have planned.
Thank you for reading, which has multiple meanings when a journal editor is also a librarian. To alter a Mark Twain quote, reports of the death of books are greatly exaggerated. Our wonderful library and its employees and patrons are proof of that. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead.
