Wall lights can add an attractive feature to a room and are not difficult to fit, the only hard bit is making good as you will have to make the plaster good once you have routed the wires to the switch and the wall lights.

If you need a light fixture installed in the UK it will cost an average of £75 to £200. Lighting installation costs can range widely depending on the number of fixtures which need installation, the type of fixtures, and whether additional wiring work is needed from an electrician.
Where should wall lights be placed?
As a general rule of thumb, wall lights should be positioned around 152-170cm (around 5-5.5ft) above floor level, while multiple wall lights should be placed around 250-300cm (or 8-10ft) apart. You should aim for the top of the wall light to sit at eye level, to avoid glare from the exposed bulb.
