You can carry your suit onto the plane in a garment bag, as long as it fits within the airline’s carry-on policy dimensions. Most airlines, unfortunately, will not have a suit bag and instead will have to be folded and placed in the overhead locker.
Does a suit count as a carry on?
Based on my research, all US airlines count a garment bag as a carry-on, and not as a personal item, regardless of how small it is.
